2012 BASEBALL CAMP

Session 1 - Hitting
Covers complete fundamentals in hitting, proper defensive foot work and defensive techniques. Each camper will be given individual instruction along with various hitting drill work to enhance their offensive game. |

Session 2 - Pitching/Catching
Covers various drills and mechanics to help create an efficient delivery. Camp will cover arm care, drills and pitcher fielding practice. Catchers will be taught proper framing, blocking, stance, and throwing techniques along with how to properly field bunts. |

Oakland Baseball Staff
HEAD COACH JOHN "MOOSE" MUSSACHIO
Entering fifth season as Head Coach at Oakland University. Coach Moose led the Grizzlies to 2010 Summit League Tournament. Served as an assistant coach at both Oakland University and Michigan State University. Former Bradley University MVP played professionally in the Chicago White Sox organization.
ASSISTANT COACH MATT PLANTE
A former assistant on the staff at Kansas State, Plante serves as the recruiting coordinator, in addition to coaching the infielders and catchers Plante will assist with coaching the hitters.
ASSISTANT COACH DAMON LESSLER
Served as Head Coach for prestigious NorCal Baseball. Lessler will assist with hitting and base running. Lessler played college ball at Mississippi Valley State University and Mesa Community College in Arizona. Served as Head Coach for prestigious NorCal Baseball. STUDENT ASSISTANT COACH JOHN TOTH
Penz will join the Oakland baseball staff as an assistant coach for the 2012 baseball season. At Oakland Penz will work with the team's outfielders and serve as a bench coach.
