Session 1 - Hitting/Defense The hitting camp includes complete instruction in hitting only, focusing on proper techniques and fundamentals. Each player will receive individual instruction and ample hitting time to enhance hitting ability using various drills and hitting equipment. Staff will cover proper defensive foot work and defensive techniques. |

Session 2 - Pitching/Catching The pitching camp covers various drills and mechanics to help create an efficient delivery. Camp will cover arm care, drills and pitcher fielding practice. Catchers will be taught proper framing, blocking, stance, and throwing techniques along with how to properly field bunts. |

HEAD COACH JAKE BOSS
2011 BIG TEN COACH OF THE YEAR Enters fourth season as Spartan Skipper. Coach Boss was named MAC Coach of the Year in 2008 with Eastern Michigan University. Prior to MSU and EMU, Coach Boss was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at U of Michigan from 2004-07, as the Wolverines made NCAA Regional appearances all three seasons including a Super Regional Appearance in 2007.
ASSISTANT COACH MARK VAN AMEYDE
Enters fourth season as Spartan pitching coach. Helped guide Eastern Michigan to a MAC Championship and NCAA berth. Spent previous three years at Georgetown University guiding pitching staff to numerous records. Prior to stint at Georgetown, Coach Van Ameyde was Associate Head Coach at University of Detroit-Mercy (UDM) from 2000-03.
ASSISTANT COACH GRAHAM SIKES
Enters 2nd season as an Assistant Coach for the Spartans. Sikes has spent the past three seasons as the volunteer assistant coach at Notre Dame and has also coached at James Madison, Young Harris (Ga.) College and Nicholls State. He will primarily be working with the outfielders and hitters at MSU while also coordinating the base running program.
ASSISTANT COACH ERIC ROOF
Roof was a three-year letter winner at Michigan State from 2007-09 and served as a captain his senior season. For his efforts, he was named Michigan State's Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player of the Year . Roof was taken in the 18th round by the Detroit Tigers in the 2009 MLB Draft. Roof played three seasons in the minor leagues (2009-11) in the Tigers organization.
